SLEEP
Now for Penny’s favorite activities: laying around and sleeping. She has her favorite spots around the house for sleeping. She’ll wake up early, go find a sunbeam in the living room, and lay in it until it moves. She loves a special white down comforter that just turned into being hers one day. She has her own bed to lay in, and finds it fairly often.
The times that get me are when I can’t find her anywhere, and then find her on a piece of my clothing on the ground, curled up in a ball. Or, the time I found her napping on one of the bathroom rugs. If there’s a comfortable, quiet spot in the house: Penny will find it and nap on it. She’ll often keep her eyes open for as long as possible, even when she’s noticeably tired, telling us she doesn’t want to miss out on any excitement. I often catch her laying down, falling asleep – her eyes trying to force themselves closed. Like her mom, she loves her sleep.
